There are two main family lines involved here, one being the HARVEYs, where at least half of what is happening is in Scotland, and the other being the DODGSON side, being mainly in England and Wales.

[A} First, the HARVEYs. Below are four generations from John Roberton HARVEY to his great grandparents. All the HARVEY side then go back in Scotland, whilst the Block side stay in England and earlier go back into Ireland. [B] Second the DODGSONs. The second chart shows four generations from Ann Valentine DODGSON to her great grandparents. These various names come from Cornwall, Shropshire, Yorkshire, London and Co Durham, so are much more widespread.
