The BLOCK family are interesting and some family members have gone back a large number of generations for BLOCK, including it coming from Wexford in Ireland.

I havent yet got all that onto my tree, so this section will be expanded as time allows in the future. Below are six generations that are in direct line of ascent starting with Samuel BLOCK in the 1700s through to John Roberton HARVEY, son of Phyllis [Purr] BLOCK.

Samuel BLOCK ( d 1780) had one son: Samuel

Samuel BLOCK (1767- 1828) on 5 Mar 1791 married Elizabeth WILLIAMS (  d 1827)and they had six children: Samuel Richard, William, James, Allen Williams, Hugh, Joseph

Allen Williams BLOCK (1797- 1889) on 20 Oct 1830 married Parthenia PARDOE  (1810- 1870) and they had six children:  Allen Williams Hugh, Elizabeth, Parthenia, Marian Sarah, James, Emily Frances.

Allen Williams Hugh BLOCK (1842- 1899) on 27 Jun 1865 married Emily Marianne DAVEY (1842- 1933) and they had four children:  Phyllis, Nicholas, Harry A, Kath.

Phyllis BLOCK (1884- 1870) in 1909 married James Roberton HARVEY (1884- 1952) and they had seven children: Joy [Catherine], Veronica JR, Jill [Margaret], Mary Roberton, John Roberton, David James Roberton and William Jeffrey Roberton.
